QueerAF Podcast: Season 4, Episode 4 – From long locks to bold chops, Rosa Eaton meets the people using hair to express who they truly are – listen now
In this episode:
In her university town of Bristol, Rosa Eaton wonders: does she need a “queer haircut” to feel part of the community?
She meets a local queer hairdresser who’s been helping trans, non-binary, and LGBTQIA+ people feel more at home in the identities they want to show the world. As Rosa reflects on her own love of her long, femme hair, she starts to question whether, after seeing so many people feel empowered by “the chop,” she should do the same.
By the end of the episode, Rosa reaches her own conclusion - for better or worse.
Featuring:
- Rosa Eaton – Charles Parker Award-winning radio producer, theatre-maker, and artist
- Jamie Wareham – Journalist and broadcaster
