The LGBTQIA+ content fund, by QueerAF, funds, develops, and supports the untold stories and marginalised creatives in our community under served by the mainstream media.
The LGBTQIA+ content funds journalism, content and stories because of they are worth something to the community instead of their ability to drive clicks.
Projects and content funded by the scheme are guided by a growing community of individual QueerAF members and readers who tell us what kind of content to fund.
It is generated both by the memberships of individuals and organisations, as well as with editorial partnerships that sit outside of our ad-free website and newsletter - on platforms we don't own, like on social media or podcast feeds.
💡
We are incredibly protective of our editorial independence, and anyone who contributes to the fund does so, knowing that they are trusting QueerAF's storytelling and don't get a say or influence on our editorial output.

The Queer Gaze
The LGBTQIA+ content fund enables our landmark scheme for underrepresented or emerging creatives to share their perspective and get journalism and strategic communication skills sessions. Each writer gets mentoring and support to develop their talent, a stipend and a published piece of work for their portfolio.

QueerAF Podcast
QueerAF is the award-winning one-of-a-kind podcast that pays, mentors and supports LGBTQIA+ young people with vital stories to tell. Many of the producers we've mentored got their first paid audio commissions on the show, which is supported by the fund.
