QueerAF Podcast: Season 2, Bonus Minisode β After a busy few weeks at #QueerAF, weβre taking a short break before bringing you the second half of Season 2. But before we do, hereβs the inspiring story of 15 young people who spent a night sleeping rough to raise money and awareness for homeless LGBTQIA+ youth - listen now
In this episode:
This is the story of 15 students who raised Β£2,600 for the Albert Kennedy Trust, the UK charity supporting homeless LGBTQIA+ youth. They gathered at the Royal Veterinary College in Kingβs Cross, where they had access to toilets, a safe space and even a warm room if needed. But all 15 chose to stay outside, sleeping on yoga mats on the cold ground to show solidarity with queer young people facing homelessness.
Charlie, who youβll remember from Season 1 of the podcast, took part β and in this special minisode, we hear her diary of the night and meet those who joined her on the mission.
Featuring:
- Charlie-Ann Mathers β Student Pride Press Officer
- Lily Ella β YouTuber
