QueerAF Podcast: Season 2, Episode 1 – A new season, and a new style of storytelling. Our new series kicks off with a conversation about the realities of living at the intersections of religion, queerness and sex work, with documentary maker Amy Ashenden – listen now
In this episode:
Our podcast, created in collaboration with National Student Pride, returns for a second season - and with it, a new wave of student reporters and producers helping to craft the stories we share. This episode was produced by Cassie Galpin.
The main theme at this year's National Student Pride is homelessness, so to kick off this season we sit down with documentary maker Amy Ashenden, creator of Queer Muslim Sex Worker, to discuss the heartbreaking true story behind the podcast. The documentary follows a queer gender-fluid young person who was made homeless after coming out to their family.
