Understand the LGBTQIA+ headlines and keep track of the latest queer content and perspectives. QueerAF is written by Jamie Wareham and a different queer creative each week.

πŸ’¬ This week:

  • Laws. When was the last time we had this many announcements about LGBTQIA+ legislation in one week? Unfortunately, most of them represent attacks on our community. We help you understand a packed week in parliament.
  • Trans Santa. Christmas is a complex time, with many of us facing difficult choices around going home. We spotlight a new initiative bringing hope to trans folk this year.
  • Welsh Revolt. In the first article in our partnership with Inclusive Journalism Cymru - dedicated to uplifting Welsh LGBTQIA+ emerging and marginalised journalists - Diffwys Criafol looks at the queer revolution taking place in rural Wales.

Skip the doomscrolling and support queer creatives instead. We are QueerAF – and so are you.

QueerAF will be taking a holiday season break soon.

Next week's newsletter will be the last of the year, and we'll be back in our usual format on Jan 6th 2024, after a two-week break.

We might still appear in your inbox if there’s any urgent news, and we’ll be active across socials so be sure to follow us on X, Threads and Instagram.
